Skellig Sanctuary Silk dress

Description

Inspired by Sceilig Mhichíl, a 6th century monastic site, UENESCO World heritage site and home to the adorable puffin, now an endangered species. The silk dress with artwork by CO’D de Vries depicts a puffin whose silhouette takes on the iconic shape of the Sceilig Mhichil rock. Sceilig Mhichil is unlike any other place on earth with spectacular scenery, crashing waves and puffins and gannets doing spectacular nose dives and “crash” landings on the island!

(Styled here with a preloved golden shirt and a scarf CO’D de Vries created from up cycling silage netting, dying it with non toxic dyes, adorning it with swarovski crystals and left over unwanted plastic tags. The beret is a House of Kerry woolen beret worn in reverse to show off the beautiful silk patterned lining!)
